just an update for you drained the nasty oil out put new oil n filter on timed it up ran it without the leads on to get oil round the engine and then put leads on and it started 1st turn of the key instantly no more tons of white smoke anymore runs sweet 'well so far' just a ew more bits n bobs to do know and it will be a 100% runner

bits and bobs to do

find the part i have lost that goes around the bolts that holds the alternator tention bracket in place without it vibrating.

sort out throttle cabel i think i thave broke it when i removed it off the ball

refit outside of cam box

get a new ogsilary belt along with filter fuel filter etc etc 'think that is how you spell it'

get a new rubber air intake pipe that goes from the air box to the inlet as mine has a split hence why someone had wraped tape round it in the pic

also get some new pics!!!!!

just an update i am just tinkering at the mo 'waiting for body work to get going'

got a few service parts to go on it

also destricted the air box as i noticed the pipe was throwing the old air away from the intake so must improve the air air flow a bit well will do even more when i get a proper k@n pannel filter quick pic anyway.

also fited new air intake rubber hose old one was riped.

out of service parts i have fitted the air filter and fuel filter and fan belt just need to cap the plugs up and thts it really.

while im waiting for body work to start i think i will add the lowering springs and exhaust mybe paint drums and calipers silver what you recon?

right well fitted new cat back system ''purchased off ste l !thank you! ''

i have fitted it the best i can for the time being but when i get the car on the road i will take it to a stainless steel exhaust speclist as it basicaly it is about an inch from the rear beam and close to the rear spring also, so i want it heating up and ajusting also want a better peice fitted were it conects to the cat as who ever removed the from the prevous car just basically hacked it off and cut it to short so its only just on.

but on the plus side it sounds nice lovely grumble bit loader than i would usually go for but also air box sounds nice without that pipe in.

pics:

this pic makes the rust look twice as bad for some reason but hey its all gonna get sorted.

also while i was under there i noticed the usual rusty place on the chassis so did the usual thing and ramed a screw driver through it and pealed back the under seal lol its is getting ground down on tuesday and gona weld a new peice in.

i wanted to go to pvs in it but i am not sure weather or not it will be finished in time or not, once it gone for paint and rust i can build it all back together but its taking ages as the guy who is sorting the rust out is doing it as a foriner and he is busy doing other peoples at the mo.

yer it is a common place on the chassis rail i hate rust but this car is coverd in it but i want a black sri so i shall keep going.

when i have done foriners on other peoples cars i find most of the corsa are rusty there or have been welded up always seems worse on the drivers side for some reason?
