Dont listen to em!!

Id do the same as you, just dont go spending too much,

First fit a Nova GSI manifold and downpipe (or SRI) Just make sure you have the lambda hole!

If you can, make the exhaust a straight through, bearing in mind you will need the CAT for the MOT

Then jus put a 1.4 SR cam or even something like a Piper fast road cam

After you can go on to a 1.4spi injector, 1.6spi inlet, 1.8spi throttlebody etc

Nova manifold wont meet your corsa exhaust system.

The 1.4 throttle body is identical to a 1.2 throttle body, same size.

Howdy,

Im from a Nova background and i also had the litargic C12NZ lump in my Nova untill i fitted a C14NV (1400 SR engine)

There really is not much point in tuning the 1200 IMO due to the small gains you will see.

However, if you do fancy having a bash, a bloke called 'aragorn' had a whole thread on www.novaload.net about tuning said engine.

Hope this helps...

should have bought a 1.2 16v instead of the 8v (cheap on insurance) as these have 65 bhp as standered or you could drop one in yours, im guessing quite and easy job

TTT, for the fact that I have a 1.8 Inlet & injector... will both of these be ok, or just the throttle body?

im putting r1 carbs on my 1.2 8v, still waiting for the manifold to be made. will put up pictures and performance figures when finished.
btw, my C12NZ is putting out 55bhp in standard form at the moment, with only a drilled airbox to help!

Seems a bit of a waste spending all that money on a 1.2... I'm only putting on bits from other vauxhalls as i can get them for next to nothing.

Should be a weapon with carbs, 1.4 sri head, gsi manifold, etc etc.

Just the throttle body.
A 1.8 injector will flood the fook out of a 1.2 engine.
Use either the std 1.2 injector, or try a 1.4 one.

I used 1.4 injector on my old 1200i, seemed to fuel ok.

Cheers, Ill get the throttle body off the cav, and fit it at the weekend. I can get a stainless 4 branch GSI manifold cheap, so ill get my hands on that too.

Need 1.6spi inlet too. And that will need the EGR valve hole blocking with a plate.

Off a 1.6 mk3 astra etc.

Ahh bugger, will the 1.8 inlet fit?

If not, can I use the 1.2 inlet with the 1.8 throttle body?

And kurtofcc, I think any nova cam will fit, so I read on that guide on novaload... I can get a GSI cam cheapo & local, so ill give it a miss, thanks anyway.

You cant use the 1.2 inlet nope, as the 1.8 tb butterfly valve is too large and hits the manifold.
1.8spi engine is a big block engine, so its inlet wont fit your small block 1.2i engine.

1.6i inlet is the one you need, and it needs filing out by about 1/2mm to completely match the width of the 1.8tb butterfly.
You wont need block the egr if your 1.2i has a egr valve, my p-plate corsa with a 1.2i does. Early ones didn't.

I had a 1.6 inlet, but sold it
