yes,i'm lanky its true but not as lanky as a size zero super model., Emile Heskey has physical presence, Big Dunc etc, more to football than having physical presence at such a high level of football. Look at Teddy Sheringham, he was 4 times the player Crouch is, Simply not good enough to don an England shirt, granted he has improved but still not good enough in my eyes.
England have some of the best attacking midfielders in the world, with their passing ability, pass, spacial awarement, movement off the ball we should play to their qualities, cut through teams like Argentina do, not bounce it off Crouch every five minutes.
I can see what his uses are, just don't agree with them, and don't think he is good enough in the areas he should be to compliment his uses, a big example of his is his arial abilty or lack of. If John Terry was same size and upfront you can guarentee he would have bagged shit loads more with his head.
It's a friendly, not going to discover anything different about him, play someone else ffs.

Crouch cant head a ball, but with the right partner and when playing well he deserves his place in there. IMO he isnt playing well, and anyone who doesnt play on the last man and has pace isnt his perfect partner. Rooney and someone else when he is fit though.

Midfield central 2 should be Hargreaves and Gerrard when both fit. Lennon and Joe Cole on either wing.

Richards deserves a chance at RB, if McLaren is going to push his policy of playing young players together so they can gel before the next tournament then Neville shouldnt be picked as he has done with Beckham.

Central two should always be Terry, Carra or Rio. All three are good enough IMO, but Woodgate just isnt there yet. Anyone who says Carra doesnt deserve a place should look at how many goals we have conceeded this season and the last two when he has player...not many! Im happy he isnt picked as means he wont get injured...but think he deserves some recognition internationally for his consistancy over the last 3 seasons but just doesnt get it.

LB should always be Bridge or Cole, but dont see why Neville is there now as surely must be better to cover whilst those two are out!!

Carl...if he was smaller and had his touch you wouldnt be saying he doesnt deserve his place. He has as good a touch when the ball is at his feet as anyone in that team, but because he is tall everyone expects its his head he should be good with.

Granted he should win more in the air to be a more complete player, but what he offers at the moment is deserving of a start when people are injured and on the bench when they arent.

when it is next summer, 2008?

I just think if he gave Richards experience in these games then he would be a much much better player to push Neville for his place. Im not saying Neville cant do the job anymore as he probably could until 2008, but IMO Richards could offer all he does + more (i.e. score!!)

I suspect it will all change come the qualifiers. As long as Gary is performing I think his position is safe, competitively at least.

TBH That is slander. He was cleared of that so therefore not guilty.

He is an immense player and I ask you to never mention his name in a Peter Crouch related thread again.
