out and about tonight.

the spread of light at the side of the road is alot better, its good as you can see foxes n shit

light is very very bright, high beam goes for what seems miles

worked well, no flicker or problems, well chuffed, made such a difference (and the car has raybrig fancy bulbs in it as well, much better now!).

the difference is that the kits which only use the power from the cars lighting circuit dont perform as well due to the power output fluctuating when you use other electrical powered items such as the heaters, heated rear window, stereo etc... this has a bad affect on th performance of HID kits.

H7 come with dipped beam as HID only but how often do you use high beam? the other problem is when you flash HID'S to let people out of junctions etc... it damages the bulb as they need about 2 seconds to warm up properly. with the H4 kits the flash is controlled by a motorised bulb screen which changes the beam pattern to appear as a flash, its not a seperate bulb that flashes.

all that bloody moaning about them being a few days late with delivery and you cant even be bothered to fit them

and steve, bulbs are easy to get hold of, most HID bulbs will fit into the bulb holder and Im 99% sure the connectors are universal as well. havnt seen any that are different.

from £20 each to £80 each. depends where you buy them.

the bulbs are designed to last 3000 hours and in the US the same bulbs are guaranteed for 3 years.

I fitted HIDS today, which I got for £75 delivered as part of a SXOC group buy. Ballasts look near identical, as do the relay bits that went with some of the other guys kits.
One of the best upgrades i've done mind.
