Just realised that I never updated this properly.

Got the car finished on the night before Trax at 9pm, so we were cutting it a bit fine there! Got it back the night before.

So anyway quick rundown of what was done at the bodyshop. Full respray in the original Nautilus Blue, Bumper tops and arches colour coded grey, Semi-smooth boot, Aerial Removed, Roof Rails and Handles colour coded, Rub Strips removed.

I'm dead chuffed with the results, Here's a couple of pics from Trax. Cheers to everyone that commented on the car when I was there, was great fun to finally show it off!

Afterwards some scumbag keyed the rear quarter panel, and a couple of problems with the paint came up so it's back to the bodyshop to be sorted out! Also had another set of manual mirrors painted (I messed mine up/dropped one) Whoops...

Bought a new Alpine Head Unit for the car too. Walked into Sextons Southampton and Ed sorted me out with a top-notch CDA-9887R for £295 with the iPod Cable. Features of the headunit include 4x60w Speaker Output, Bluetooth, iPod Full Speed, Imprint Sound plus the usual Alpine GUI and features . Also bought an ipod (Welcome to the Millenium Phil...) So I can junk CD's in the car now! Quality!


What's next? Well I don't know... I want new wheels, interior, bigger brakes, and there's that guy round here with the Nova Turbo - Maybe he needs some competition?

Cheers for the comments!

Parts to fit this weekend include a nice new Whiteline ARB! I also have new rear brakes to fit, bearings and shoes! Should be good to fit.

Will bring pics etc later on - Just hoping that the weather will be all good!

My corsa now has rear brakes again Which is nice. Also fitted the rear ARB!!

Very impressive bit of kit! Turn-in is more improved and it seems to be more planted to the ground on cornering. Might take it out and hoover it now i'm in a good mood with it

Little update to see how she's getting on. It's not been used for a while now as i'm using the blue sport over winter.

Woke up the cold and grumpy XE for a wash though... C'mon!



New ARB on the rear. Not much ground clearance hehe!!



The new Headunit, amazing buy! 9887R from Sextons in Southampton.



I put my SXi rim back on today too, had to get a new tyre (Once i'd tracked down an Eagle F1 in Germany...) Was gutted, because the old one had hardly been used when I found an abandoned For Sale sign at 4am

no matter how high or low your car is, it'll never change the clearance..
e.g if the car wasn't as low as it is, that would still be the same distance off the floor
