got a C16XE GSI airbox today, to be used with the valver engine





as you can see the outlet part is huge compared to the normal type one..




so it shouldn't strangle any power from the engine

gave block a quick clean, think im gonna go over it again thought, still look's like it need's a bit more cleaning

got some nylon bushes for the gear linkage

no, a mate made them at work, the standard one's with rubber bit's on are gm one's..
nylon one's didn't fit properly, had to mod the gearbox mount slightly, as they are made for a nova so they was slightly too thick on the ends


used oven cleaner on the block

Still looks to work a treat.
I'll have to raid the cupboard for the oven cleaner then, Need to start cleaning up the engine bay and engine ready for fitting.

It's a slooooooow process

Ain't that the truth. Mine would be quicker if the weather was better. Waiting to paint the engine bay but no chance of that outside yet.
