realistically, this car isnt about the mighty v-tec, as steve obviously must envy v-tec so much to go on about it time and time again. this car is all about turbo'ing an engine that happens to be a v-tec. its also one of the few managment systems that can cope without changing much else. a few yeard back team muppetsport turbo'd a crx non v-tec. the difference was a rather nice 1/4 mile time, from a 15.9 to a 13.9. the aim is to have the prelude in the low 13's possibly less. as with all the cars that we play with currently, we are trying things to see what works, and what doesnt so we can develop our ideas further to make faster engines.

regardless of steve's opinions on v-tec, this car will join our current cars on the 1/4 mile next year. its just about having fun. its a hobby. get over the v-tec thing.

yeah, moved last night. just not taken it for a proper run as it needs the 5th and 6th injector wiring, and map sensor unit wired up. it will be happening in a couple of hours though.

so basically sounds like any other 16v engine ragging its tits off , just that most will hit the limiter first

no VTECs sound different , they have a sound of there own.

by that they mean that the v-tec system hasnt been responsible for any engine failure, as yes, they have had engine failures in the mighty v-tec.

whats wid the vtec talk, its like its some sort of god! its a very simple system that works and has for nearly 20 years. nothing complicated about it. as for my prelude bus, we going to finish it now and set up fueling and then kick its ass!! hopefully 300bhp ish will hold the road??

been lookin into it, theres a few gti's/VTS's with turbos about now supposed to be a very reliable conversion and good for 200bhp out the box which aint to shabby for a 1.6
