Hi,

There is a site wide plan that admin/organisers are trying to push across all regions, the concept is that all regions have a meet on the first Sunday of the month.

So as we have plenty time till the first Sunday of November (5th) lets get some ideas of where to meet up.

I'll propose a few locations:

Southend (would probably be shite on Sunday midday ish)
Bluewater carpark (cover, may be busy on Sundays?)
Dobbs Weir (Basically a car park near me, where we can pop into the Family type pub and have some eatsss)
Grasshopper pub (you know the drill)
Hemel Services (its a service station)
Thurock Services (its a service station)

Time would probably be a mid-afternoon affair, around 12-2?

Thoughts, ideas, the format of the meet will be vanilla, ie we park up and chat bollocks while eating Gingsters pasties.

Definate good idea mate! Thurrock Services is abit lame.. Good to meet up there if we was to go onto somewhere else. Southend I fink's always a good bet, as there is alot to do down there. But im up for this, good idea!

Sounds like a very good idea to me, service stations are a bit lame but are good for people that live near eachother to meet up and to convoy from. southend is probably the best bet as there is more stuff to do, but switching it around each month instead of just meeting there would be good

Pubs etc might be best for this time of year though or we might have to wrap up like eskimos

Yeah I agree, IMHO theres no point in meeting up at service stations because its all within the region, its not like we are convoying to PVS or something.

I did mention service stations in the first instance however becuase its an easy event, we can park up, talk, go inside, have a few cups of tea (maybe a burger) then go home. Whereas in a pub its al ittle be more formal if you know what I mean.

Could be a good one when People are skint and cant afford the whole pub lunch business, but can find enough pennies for a cuppa

up will for thinking about this, as TBH i had'nt

IMO these meets will only work when either theres an event, like southend etc

or going to a pub etc, a pub doesnt have to be expensive, just depends on which one we choose to go to

much better than a servces station etc

Theres always going to be this essex/kent divide cause no one wants to drive anywhere . Driving over to Kent isnt that big of a mission, you just get onto the M25 and put your foot down.

Grasshopper is known so isnt a gamble, however, my boss lives in the same village and tells me that its actually quite shite compared to what Westerham has to offer.

As much as I'd like to go down the road for a CorsaSport meet, the pubs (including dobbs weir) arent anything to write home about However it does have a carpark where we wouldnt get bothered/told to move on if we just park up.

The monthly meet location WILL have to be rotated, as I can already see people bothered about the distance they need to travel But do remember, this is only once a month so get off your arse and make the effort

as william said, from the looks of it it will all be rotated

but in order for it to move about it needs to be a sucess, and that means people turning up to the first one, not waiting till it comes near to them

and anyone that moans about the distants, kent is not far away, scotland is far away, kent is a blat round the M25

shall we try and make out region a sucess (controversial comming from me, i know)

I just dropped a pin on a map, and it landed on The Maypole, my local pub. You'd never beleive that, I only have to drive 400yards to get to the meet

Kidding. Willay, I reckon you should set the location tonight and have done with it. Any moaners can gtf as theyre not really that bothered about it, clearly, else they wouldnt moan!

But, nowhere with shit roads and speedbumps!
