Its begun!

After constantly getting messed around selling my C16xe engine we've decided to keep it and put it into the Nova GSI

Car is gonna be absolutely gutted - everything is going!

Its gonna be stupid light and silly fast... i was so annoyed i didnt get into the 14's with the 1.6 at santa pod in Jan this year when me and the corsa sport lot went down there. Best i could manage was a 15.2 and that was with pretty much standard engine.

Anyway... expect lots of mincing photos and dangerous antics along the way

I had spare hour this afternoon so we uncovered the little engine that hasnt seen the light of day since march this year.... and holy fook its still as clean as it was back then!

... we've started making lists of the parts we need so gonna be skint over the next few months!

I'm gonna run at shakespeare county raceway on the 1st Oct (I think) as long as the weather is good. Not gonna try and predict a time after the let down at trax, but it better still be sub 14 or its gonna get a beating

my next engine is going to be a mish mash x and c16xe..... how cool will i be, infact the only standard parts will be the block and the head...... both will be modified

Gonna look like a standard GSI.

Gonna get some pics this afternoon of the GSI.

Gonna have loads of GSI nova bits for sale if anyones interested as the car is gonna literally be a bare shell with a seat,engine and clocks

as rob said i have got some R1 carbs on a c20xe but im not sure what they would be like on a c16xe, maybe some R6 ones would be good!

Bogg bros sell the maifolds for them to fit a c20xe but not sure bout the c16xe.

then the easiest way is to run a stand alone ignition system and im running a H & H whole system which is about £200 for the 3 items!

you will also need a fuel pressure reg as the bike carbs need about 5psi and the cars pump runs at about 30psi or something like that!

also you will need to get it re-jetted and set up by someone who knows about bikes and cars so they understand what will be best!

its actually a very basic system cos you get rid of the ecu but you will have a lot of unplugged sensors and it uses alot of fuel but it sounds bloody sexual!
