I know he's a good player and all but all this 'we've got no chance without rooney' bollocks is really quite pathetic if you ask me, you can see everyone already beginning to use it as an excuse. If we dont win the World Cup it wont be because we are missing one player, it will because we simply aren't good enough

Where on earth do I say that What I'm saying is that people seemed to have pinned all our hopes on Rooney when it's a team sport. Of course we would be better off with him but all this media hype is just an insult to the other players. Be honest do you really think Rooney is the difference between us winning and loosing the World Cup? Aare the rest of our players really so poor that one person makes such a significant difference?

no shoot it's a team sport, but at the end of the day you need someone who knows where the goal is. Sure Crouch has impressed lately but it's a different kettle of fish when coming up against world class defenders.
And in answer to your question about whether Rooney is the difference, yes, I think he is to be honest. Not saying the other players are poor either, they're great at what they do and Rooney is great at what he does which is what we'll be missing if he isn't fit.

I kinda agree
We seem to have the worst luck when it comes to World Cups etc... Paul Parker scoring with his a$$ and Seaman getting lobbed by Ronaldinho etc... 
We have a better chance this year than ever though.
