We all used to chip in fivers to go for a drive... When I think back, we were probably getting ripped off!
I'm sure petrol wasn't that expensive back then

The GTi was only a few years ago... I was showing Kevin the photo's the other day & he now regrets selling it

Yeah I must admit, driving wasn't all I expected it to be... I do love driving, but it always seemed more fun when someone else was. You never knew where you were going to end up going... and you didn't have to bother about not being able to drink if we turned up at a house party.

Kev's Golf was nice, but was tatty round the edges... could have been sorted out nice with a little time & effort. It made me want one at the time Up until him owning it, I couldn't see the big attraction, but they soon grow on you.

hehe I thought that aswell, was much better sitting in the back

Most Mk2's will be tatty now & abused....could end up more hassle than its worth getting one & hit the pocket hard

Used to be a black one of these that lived near me from about '90-'92.

Always made me laugh.

Looked even worse than the Rattlesnake kit for the RS Turbo.

Could never see the point in doing that to a car that was FWD still.

Standard power too.

3 spokes were shit when they were new Stubs.

Never met anyone that liked them.

Afraid I don't have any Liam, but it was truly an atrocity.

Looked like someone had knocked it up from some old Tupperware boxes.

Sure someone on here will have a pic.

JR might.
