Quality

For the record

I raced my misses Dad once,

only difference was I was driving his BMW M3 and he was driving one of those new landrover jobbies, his misses was supposed to drive it back from a wedding but as she got so pissed and hungover, I got handed the keys

Quality Thread boys

drifting is for show boating, it serves no purpose for going round corners fast

i was meaning hammer it round the bends but be able to control the back end "IF" it decides it wants to flick out

Just got back to work after having last thursday and friday off, well impressed with the resposes on this thread! proper funny!

two things tho:

1 - I think i may have given the wrong impressiion on my first post, i had literally just got of the phone to my gf, who had just slated my car!! even tho I do enjoy racing around occasionally I was not actually planning on racing my misses dad, it was more of a question that showed my frustration.

2 - The reason I was asking is it's not actually me that is the competative one, if i was ever to see him out, he would race me 110%, so it would end up down to me??? Do i race or do i pretend to not be interested, I know this may seem a bit unrealistic! but i am being serious! When i was round there house at the weekend, he was telling me about his car, and saying how good it is, going on about how the mid engined setup will make it handle like a dream, which i do agree with!

But then he hit me with this "I bet you £500, i could beat you round a track"

i replied with the obvious................... "how about santa pod?"

he said there is no skill in racing in a straight line!

i just

as you can imagine, this will not be happening as if i lost i would never hear the end of it! and if i won i dont think i would be welcome around there house anymore! at least not when her dad is in!

if he ever agrees to a race at santa pod i will let you all know!!! (THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!, well i doubt it anyway)

would anyone have accepted???

p.s if you dont agree with this post please dont reply, i need to get some work done, i wasted last wednesday afternoon agruing with people that had nothing v.interesting to actually say!

Its all down to the driver on track! If your a good driver you would beat the MR2 even with way less power.

Thats part of the problem, not had much track experiance, only ever drove around one once! did do quite well, but it was with an instrustor!

He claims to be a good driver and to have been on lots of race days and courses etc!

Take up the challenge, but let her dad win by a fraction of a second.......that way you won't loose face, but he'll still of won. Although the £500 bit might be a bit painful on the wallet
