I'll finish the bumpers off before we paint the shell because I want to try and get minimal panel gaps... Plus there's the roof, but that'll probably get done at a later date anyhow.

Ah ha! So that's the can in question

Like it will look ace when all done. Little bits of smoked / black detail thrown into the mix too?

Got some Depos that I might take apart to re-spray the insides because they're full of dust. They need some polishing too because they're scratched up. I've got some black Irmscher tail lights. The bumper is going to be meshed with black mesh and I believe Tom knows someone who can enamel coat parts, so the exhaust is going to be black too.

The debate at the moment is that of a carbon fibre roof. I could probably make one for about £300, or I could buy one from Performance Trim for £100 odd more, I'm thinking buying one would be a lot less trouble.

The interior is going to have similar sort of black and green-ness going on. The only thing I know I want at the moment is Performance Trim carbon door cards and I've got an idea of what I want the seats to look like - again, Tom knows a guy who does re-trims so it'll be custom

Why not carbon vinyl roof? Or you actually doing it for weight saving? The latest vinyl is pretty damn good....

Plans sound though

Looking at the Performance Trim Golf roof, it looks like they have gel coated it on both sides so it's gloss on the inside:

Looks like they've corroded under the powder coat because it's all bubbling up on the spokes...

Found this cars VIN plate too, which is probably a good thing. It was in the box with my plane, no idea why I put it in there.

Is it frowned upon to put the VIN plate in a different place to standard. I was wanting to re-locate it to somewhere tucked out the way - possibly in the boot.

Yep, I'm making a new bodykit from bits I found in the bin. It's based on a Corsa bumper and a Golf bumper which has been stretched so that it no longer needs the splitter.

Nope, I was working on the bench yesterday and didn't do any bumper. Could easily get it done in an afternoon though
