I put an offer in on a house last thursday and haven't heard anything as they are on holiday

If the sale goes through how long does it take untill you are handed the keys?

It has no upper chain and my mortgage up ready etc

First time i've dont this so sorry if these are dumb assed questions!!

6-8 weeks mine was about 7ish i was a first time buyer and no chain.

depends on lots of things, but typically 4-8 weeks.

They usually say 4-6weeks if no chain & 6-8 if there is. When we bought out house we put the offer in i september, were told to expect to get keys mid november. Ended up getting them on 22nd december

Not really bothered as im living with Richies family so if its 4 weeks or 8, ill be happy with either!

no chain i had offer accepted mid/late oct and had keys on 15th December

would of been quicker if not for slow estate agents

ye it takes months, depending on how long the chain is really. but solicitors are jst wankers when it comes to this and cnt be arsed doing anything in a hurry
