so it's begun, thats my corsa off the road till march/april

i started stripping the corsa last night.
took the kit off, skirts still to come off.
intercooler, part of engine components etc.... are also off

half the interior is out, is getting stripped to make way for my recaro's and full cage.

starting to take engine out tonight, then by end of week car will be stripped totally for spraying.
getting bay, full car, rear interior floor all sprayed.

new turbo, f28,quaiffe diff. and a few other bits are soon to be on its way aswell.

in the engine bay the header's getting replaced with a custom polished header to be moved closer to passenger side away from intercooler pipes. battery is gettin moved to boot. few other things getting re-arranged to tidy it up.

contemplating going for phase 2 or maybe higher, running phase1 just now.
what do you other LET boys think, phase 2/3.5 huge difference over phase 1?

got a heap of stuff to go away to get powdercoated aswell :
cage
strut brace
rocker cover
plug cover
a-arms
anti-roll bar
speedlines etc.................

already spent a fortune on parts, still got heap of stuff to order

will be mint when its back next year, with most parts getting replaced/refurbed.

other things im doin is smoothing lock and wiper on tailgate. and rear disc conversion.

probably more but cant think right now

will post up pics/updates as the rebuild continues through winter.

here are some pics of last nights pulling apart-

new jacking point covers have been bought

new oil cooler/rad and pacet fan to go behind i/c.

engine bay to be sprayed/tidied up and strut brace to go on

new disc/pads and painted callipers to be done, powdercoat some bitties aswell.

lock and wiper smoothed,

even new horn to go on

wheels to get coated white and new vauxhall centre caps to go on

some parts that have been stripped

update:

its been about 3 weeks at bodyshop now. was sitting for a fortnight, started doing little bits this week.

so far , hes semi smoothed my tailgate.

hes taken of my back panel and started fitting up my new panel.

and hes make a start on the new sills.

hes working on it tomorrow, then goes on holiday for about 2 weeks. so wont be touched til january.

not much done to it, but should be finished soon enough so i can get all my new parts fitted and engine in, all set up for march/ april.

no pics though, just thought id keep updates as they happen.
