We had a cup match against a team a division above us, still on the bench. Were winning 1-0 and hanging on by the skin of our teeth, their keeper came up for a corner which we won possesion of and played it to our forward, who went to slip our over lapping player in (Still just in our own half) and their only player back completely milled the lad, busted his ankle, no attempt for the ball. The ref didnt let advantage go (Our man was straight through with no keeper and no defenders, and he only gave the bandit a yellow card, when he was the last man by about 60 yards.
Needless to say they equalized with seconds to go, and beat us on pens. 4-2
I scored mine, which i keep reminding the lads who missed and are starting ahead of me...

we lost 4-1, was shocking only half the team was ther and we played wank no excuses, scored tho but doesnt matter i guess.

just got back from the pub after our cup match. we're into the quater finals we beat an Essex div 4 team called Mount Pleasent FC  --Dave-- do you know this team?
i come of the bench for last 20 mins and pelted in a top corner volly  manager said it was the pick of the goals

We got 3-0
I played tyhe last 10 minutes but in right midfield but as a sort of man in front of the defender.. .really enjoyed it, got a couple of crosses in and nearly scored with an absolute rocket launcher but one of the players manged to jus deflect it nearly scroed form the corner too but i headed over

Aye and only 5 of last years players stayed on  had to change the team and bring my own lot in (i am captain / manager) those that left started a new team in the league we were in but thankfully if we go down they aint coming up

Our league is a bit fooked as we are in the bottom division (ressies) and the 2 bottom teams in our division have their first teams as the 2 bottom teams in the division above us So basically its 1 up 1 down and the team finishing 3rd from bottom above us hav 2 come down which is really unfair

unfair bobbo that sounds plain stupid. but yes it happens with our league with reserves in lower leagues. alot have changed names as a result.
other unfair thing is that when the 1st team dont have a game they all play for the reserves!

First game back for us, won 4-3 on a terrible pitch, all down one side had mole hills on it
Not the best of performances by our team but we got the 3 points to keep us top :ccol:

i started again, not bad at 16 to start every week for a good open age side 
we won 4-2 on a decent pitch. I missed a few 1/2 chances in the first half and then scored to make it 3-2 with about 10mins to go
was a corker aswell, one on one with the keeper from about 30yards out with the keeper rushing at me and i kinda curled it round him but high (if u get me??)
Anyways, a good week cant wait until next match

i forgot to top the thread last week....
last week, we played a league game, 2-2 i played shit and got subbed at half time
this week, we go out to the sticks, get changed ready to play, and the game gets called off cos the pitch was frozen!!
on good news, apparently im top goal scorer doubt it will last long tho, signed a quality striker, im sure he will score a couple or more every game!
