as far as i know the other engine is good 50k its done i just hope it will fit its out of a vectra

I think you've just proved that you have no understanding of how fueling would melt a piston, or where a conrod goes.

Or for that matter how wiring around the dash would affect the fueling, at idle.

all im saying is incorrectly wired, a wire controlling the fueling or some other factor in the engines running could cause damage

I mean, this is how those fuel resistors work right?

There are no electrical influences on the mechanics of your bottom end.

Fueling, and detonation doesn't touch rods. It touches the pistons. To melt a piston on a n/a engine at idle is pretty much impossible, this would melt the piston and not throw the rod.

His engine was at idle.

The only electrical factor that could break a rod would be removal of the rev limit, but then it wouldn't be the electrical fault, it would be the driver driving it too hard.
