you will also need need aftermarket management to run adjustable pulleys. add £1300 to the bill for that!

and dont bother with cams unless you are going with pocketed pistons and tb's. you will end up pushing power up the rev range. with a mantzel this is a bad thing as it will also sacrifice mid range tourqe. done loads of research on cams with the x16xe. u2u me if you want any info

hats off to you, good times!

My GTE 16v ran a 15.2 @ 90mph at Pod... so your corsa must be really light!

Not quite true. You can get a basic GEMS or Omex fully mappable system for around £550

Pocketed pistons are required for high lift cams, not necessarily longer duration cams. Up to 264 degree cams will give modest increases in power without sacrificing mid torque. Beyond that, cams need to have higher lift, which means pocketed pistons, pulleys to adjust cam timing and some kind of ECU re-map

may aswell pocket pistons if your doing the rebuild anyway, the cost of actually pocketing them in not much! will save stripping it down should you wish to go for 284 or something! also look at cat cams, they are cheap and seem well!

well by all accounts york is a second quicker than the likes of the pod due to not having the sticky bit = less friction
I live near the york strip and we are all a second slower when we go to pod!

ok the ecu will be about £550, then you need a loom, another £300 then mapping £400

not as easy as just buying an ecu and throwing it in!
