its not really a car worth 'tuning'

paid 2.5k

MPG - i'd imagine it will be horrendous...

but doesnt seem to bad.... but 6l from a jerry can in last night..... drove about 40miles.... still got petrol....

but i dont know how much (litres or ££) was in before.... not alot, i know that

Like I said, Dad had a 3.9 that was tuned by a company called iirc, oblique engineering! Not sure if they are still around now though!

Maybe I can prove you wrong!

This I am aware of! Dads old tuned one used to go off the clock though so we'll give it a go and see! We have a shed full of old range rover parts too!

standard wafting is good enough!

it is Adam. youhave to fit a cone filter and a stainless steel exhaust/manifold. the sounds is sooo good. it's too muffled iththe standard system manifold. 200hp easy from the engine because it is so detuned

a few wee gremlins to sort out...

Rear upper hatch lock is a bit hit n miss.... have to give it a nice slam...

Interior light started flashing (loose wire somewhere)

consol round the gearstick needs secured

rear lower hatch needs a good tidy up, maybe even replaced if its looking really bad once i get it off

AirCon is 10x better than the crap in the impreza though

Janspeed thought it was.

They offered a tuning package for the range rover back in the 80s which consaisted of twin turbos and full stainless steel exhaust. Rear anti roll bar and spax coil over adjustable suspension.

Good for a stable 120mph.

Theres currently one parked outside my workshop!

you can still buy the Janspeed system and fanimold. the ECU can be sent off for mapping and then you get cams (an easy change cause it's a push rod engine). head work etc
