civic type Rs struggle to keep with me up to 130 as ma beastra has plenty more torque than them........all see u again some time then

Type R's are 200bhp and 147 lbft.

Astra isnt that much more.... i'm only 154lbft at the las rolling road.

Although im not overly confident of seeing 172bhp at the next rolling road.

type Rs are 192bhp and 147bhp IIRC... (8bhp matters and you know this)

Astra 2.2 is less bhp Ryan Tees car recorded 156bhp and 152lb/ft of torque (tee you can kick my arse if i got the torque wrong)

MK4 Astra GSi turbo has 197bhp though... wouldnt mind seeing your car up against one of them if you can beat type r's as some GSi's i've heard have struggled with type R's but others have minced them

Why arent you confident of Seeing 172 again?? did you do the last rolling road on it or was it The_guru who had it done?

It was the Guru who had it RR'd.

Think at the time it had a boost valve on it, its not on there anymore.... Guru would be able to say.

Actually i've got the book from Honda and they say 200BHP @7'400 and 145lbft @ 5'900

Honda Are japenese... the japs are notorious for claiming extra horse's than they actually have

i.e Scooby WRX STi 280bhp when in reality it has 276

Yeah... 197bhp peak and 130bhp would be below 5500 rpm.
