found a "spare plug" on the power loom (loom that powers alternator and starter motor and has the battery terminals on it) is grey with 6 pins.

the only difference between the new engine and old one is that the new is a 1999 and the old one is 1995. and the new one had aircon originally.

cant find where it goes, just wondered if its for the aircon

if the car runs without it then just tape it up safely

p.s dont think it for aircon as my c16xe had a spare plug when i was wiring it into my 1.2 corsa and the plug was for aircon.... but it is on the main loom inside the car and not on the altenator/starter loom.

car doesnt run yet as the engine is still in bits! ill post sum pics of it later, see if anyone recognises it

to be honest mate i wouldnt worry, my car has so many spare plugs and wires its amazing! i just hide them

that will plug into the loom in the corsa engine bay. that runs out of the bulkhead. its the wires for starter and oiul pressure etc which then run inside the car

but it wasnt on the old loom! its got nowhere to plug into on the loom that goes to the ecu or in the engine bay!

it it hasnt got nowhere to plug then ur starter motor and other bits aint gna work is it. trust me. ive done more conversions than most. and im telling u im right

yeh lee is right it plugs into a plug that is on the body loom for the oil pressure and altenator

i only took this off another car yesterday to put on my c16xe as the one thats on it at the moment is fooked(oil pressure wire missing)




you might have problems though cos the corsa loom depending on the year will have a 3 pin plug to connect to that plug



your plug there has 6 pins.....

i do have the 3 pin plug on the other end of the loom as well!

it doesnt show it in the pics though.

so the 3 pin plug is the one that is for the starter, alternator and oil pressure,


so whats the 6 pin one for

the one in the pic is six pin. 1 ire for starter. 1 for alternator, 3 for speed sensor 1 for oil pressure

so whats the other plug wuth 3 pins for then?

where will i find the speed sensor? thought it was part of the speedo clocks?

strange... i only have 1 3 pins plug that joins that loom(start loom) to the car loom....

ive only dealt with a c16xe though lee has dealt with a few different ones o i'd listen to him...

going to check the colour of the wires and look in a haynes manual at halfrauds i think.

only got a manual for 1993-1997 cars.
