I understand the pros and cons of both... and i dont want a c20xe

The 1.6 will be lighter more nimble and quite quick

The turbo is heavier but capable of big horsepower though a little chassis.

Discuss...........

1.6 is not an option unless you can spend 10k on tuning it.

Why do you think an LET with F28 would handle any worse than a Corsa with a 1.6 engine? Is the car going to be driven on the road?

They are nothing alike, not in cost, performance anything.
You will not notice any handling differences also, i can speak from experience

as i said above.

There is little difference in handling. Plus torque steer will steer you round corners

Do not beleive all the shite people talk about heavy engines not handling. This is what people who dont own one say.

I have owned a x14xe for 3.5 years and an LET since i got rid of that engine. Apart from torque steer the only difference is steering is SLIGHTLY heavier.

depends what you want to be honest dude, if you want a car thats going to be everso fast etc etc then a turbo will be the option, if you want a well balanced nippy car thts good fun to chuck about then id go 1.6 on tb's but dont expect to win every race in the world with it

Point taken i have driven numerous 2.0 novas and i could feel a little difference - i see your point.

Im not compairing the engine or performance AGAIST each other really to be honest - or the cost perspective

No more reliable or not than a C20 XE.

So long as you dont destroy the enigne and look after it it will be fine. These engines were reliable in calibras/cavs why wouldnt they be in a corsa? Theres no difference other than age.

All the problems with mine have been due to age, things giving up pipes perishing etc.

pointless. i think there are more 20xe'd corsa's than GSi's!

Plus remember ive owned a LET before in its natural environment - as any turbo owner will tell you its very difficult to go back to N/A once you have felt the boost
