As above? i no the Let engine from the Cali Turbo was 200-210 Bhp, And the C20xe 147-155 Bhp but a mild tune would get it to 200Bhp so which one would win?

don't think you will get to 200 without TBs. Whatever car it is, if they have essentially the same engines and similar spec, a 200bhp N/A car will be faster than a 200bhp Turbo car, simply because it doesnt suffer from lag.

arp bolts will enable u to rev the engine harder and ensure the engine doesnt throw a fit and spit its dummy out or should i say a rod out lol

if ur looking cheap then a 2.0 turbo will be the cheaper option than a c20xe with throttle bodies and mods

The naturally aspirated XE will win, no doubts at all. The power delivery is much smoother which helps to reduce wheelspin.

But the turbo'ed XE will be much easier easier to tune.

I was running around 200bhp in my old Corsa:
Rebuit to 2.1 litres
Weber 45mm throttle bodies
Costcast ported and polished head
Cossie big end bolts
Weber Alpha ECU
Bosch green injectors
Courtenay cams
Uprated Fuel Pump
Distributor-less ignition
Lightened Pulleys
Custom made stainless de-cat exhaust
Limiter set to 8000rpm

To be honest tho if I had my time again Id look for a 1.6 lump and throttle body that instead. I dont think Corsas handle at all, stick a heavy engine in the front and you can imagine what happens to a car that already handles badly! The car was always a lot nicer when it was running around 165bhp, so Id aim for that with a 1.6!

Yep the 2ltr xe will win,
traction and the gradual power increase will help no end,

All depends on the test really, 0-60 the xe will win, 0-100 i think will be close but 90+ the let will obviously be on boost so will roar ahead

Not if both cars are running 200bhp and the NA XE has an 8000rpm limiter.....

What torque does a standard LET have?

Sorry i didnt realise it was a standard let,
i think it would be very very close, once the let gets traction it would go onto 140

Yeah, agreed! LET will have more torque than the NA, I think after 100mph the LET would stage its comeback!

bit of a silly question because your talking about a heavily modified engine v's a standard engine!!!!

if you learn how to drive a let corsa rather than just slamming the acclerator to the floor you can get traction without any problems!!!!!

depends alot aswell on other mods!!! what is the race around a track?? 0-100, 1/4 mile???
