LOL @ 12,000rpm!!!

Same with my mates punto with a 20v Turbo lump in, rev counter over reads (though not as much as your it seems).

I think in the old Cossvaux nova van we had 75 in second and well over 100 in third when it was on twin 48's. God that thing revved!

But the title "Fastest Corsa in the UK" is factually incorrect as is the text in the feature if is says the turbo's are fitted.

WTF are REVS playing at?

Are their heads so far up their own arses thay dont care what they print?

And they put a number to ring if you thought you could beat it....

I'm sure even Beardy would agree a few LET corsas will be faster than his in its present state?

0-60 alot of corsas would beat me (but thats UK Quickest)
top end i recon i would be up there, weather i would be the fastest is yet to be proven and i dont think it will be, as when you try and sort days out people always drop out and then you get what about Mr *** Car he can do.

Lucky yours was only proven at 143.9, now i know you and Stonie have done more (des has said u have by GPS) but again where do you stop from proof???

I know for a fact (given I could guarentee fueling/engine safety on a prolonged run) I could pull the limiter in sixth. But I'd need a seriously long stetch, and were talking a few miles here!

God knows. You can calculate it, F28 ratios and final drive, 195/45/16's, I think 7500rpm (though it could be 7700 rpm, which it may struggle to hit). Going on how easy it hit 7k, I can see pulling to the limiter being a possability. BUT I think the engine would give up before it got there TBH. Holding it flat out for so long it just wont do....

Its not the safest thing in the world to do. Tyres are only rated to 140 LOL.

No i did a proven 147.9mph at Bruntingthorpe actually.

The "Redline records" should read correctly now as it used to say 143.9mph.

Its just a pity i didn't have on the new engine mounts fitted down there, i'm embarressed by the 13.75 or whatever SQM time i did that day...

...but i suppose the 4.97sec 0-60 kinda makes up for it.

Its amazing the difference engine mounts make, down to a 13.28 @ 106.4mph SQM.
