is it hard to make my own? i was telling a mate at work earlier and he said hes flogging a 7in screen and I offerd to buy it off him.

Hmmm i can't see the point mate. Not trying to sell you one but for £60 without screen delivared to your door. It would cost you atleast £30 in materials and then Days to get it PERFECT

I was always under the impression that magnets and screens dont mix - would be betetr to be a clip on/off cover - Im interested in a corsa b one - dependent upont price/screen quality/ hazard switch location and a host of other things - in principle - Im very interested in practice - Id liek to see one finished - b4 buying one

Thats fine, were going to be thinking of a good way to hide the screen don't worry. I have added you to the list....So you will be U2Ued with more details and progress pictures soon.

like said, TFT's aren't affected like CRT's, so there is no problems with magnets near these.

if your unsure, go into PC World armed with a trusty magnet & attack some laptops

sidesport - you know I was saying about the lilliput screen, this is the shape of it (stole image from M2RV H's post...)

just wondering if it will be easy job to modify the facia myself to accomodate the screen, as I notice it has a lil droop-bit on the bottom!

still want the lil heater controls tho, cant do without them

Alright guys...

Yes i expect you could modify the console...

Basically you would need to draw on the size of the screen and cut the excess plastic to the size of the new screen and then fibreglass/Filler it all smooth.

We would build you a CUSTOM one if you wanted...PERFECTLY to the size and shape....

U2U me with some more details and ill give you a price

Ps - Yes you could still keep your heater controls!
