we should run trials and get cliosport website and passion ford with rs turbos along as well for the day! Not just corsas!
Then we should organise it at brunters like a mini totb! handling, 1/4 mile and top speed!
I think this would be a great event and widely supported to see who brings what along!

LOL, I might of secretly changed my name!
The guy who drives the Nova, he might come across a bit daft on the DVD, but his knowledge is second to none 
On the day the Nova couldnt get 2nd to 3rd without some serious welly. Should of been tight between what won it and him.... but wasnt LOL.
I've raced it on the road (private LOL) my car is fast, and it left me like I was a metro without an engine. Also its stupid when your in it.... totally love it

Yeah, could tell the nova guy knew his stuff, the one that made me laugh the most was the GT4 driver, IIRC, it seemed as though he'd been stood in someone elses garage whilst they did all the hard graft... liked to concentrate on the fact his car developed 500bhp (altho most of that was probably used up in movin his lardy ass)

no like civics with S2k lumps converted and Ibiza's with TT Quatro engines, yes we have some crazy cars here but so does every where else , so before every one is saying Corsa Sport will win id think again.

As far as conversions are concerned, would have thought theres better scope for upgrade to C20XE or LET in a corsa, I know people who've bought a corsa for no other reason than to drop a valver in as it's so straightforward...

People fit bigger engines into Mk1 Golfs, Clio 172s have bolt on turbo kits available, Ford's Zetec can be played with to push out silly power figures and then be fitted to a smaller, lighter car...
Just because the XE and LET into a Corsa is easy, doesn't mean the cars are going to have an easy time on a Vs day.

this man speaks sense, at the end of the day the corsa wasnt built for a track , where as a Golf GTi was built to be a hot hatch etc..

A few un official qualifying days would be the best aproach to ascertain our best cars..
Maybe the average time from 3 runs gets put forward.... these times are then collected before a closing date, and the top x selected.... this works for 1/4mile....
What about handling 
Can i sub a driver for that ? luckyb???

and on another note..... gearboxs have to be thought of when thinking about top speed trials...
My car would be shite..... it'll top out at about 145 or something with the raised rev limit..
or maybe not
