has anybody got one of these new kits yet? if so how do you rate them compared to the K&N generation II - just wondering as the K&N is enclosed in a box with an air feed going to it so it may not be as exposed to the elements (like rain) as the velocity

oh btw hi joff

The elements aren't an issue with the VIS as the filter is a "dry" foam and is more than happy being exposed, unlike cotton gauze which will complain like a girl when you don't let them look at shoe shops.

Isn't the Gen2 K&N just a normal filter with a heatshield? You'd be better off comparing the Viper to the K&N - the VIS is a whole new kettle of fish.

is it available for corsa yet?
i reckon at the end of the day its just another induction kit really... they all increase air flow and are only "slightly" better or worse than each other

the standard long-inlet manifold "pipe work" on the 1.4 and 1.6 corsa is what gave it a nice deep intake sound with a induction kit, so this new induction kit with that long pipe work not only means you can position it better but it may sound nicer too, especially if you have replaced the standard inlet manifold for like a Mantzel on ya corsa and lost that induction sound?

VIS just looks like a filter on the end of a longer tube. then PiperX charge a fortune for this. Dry foam will be come sodden when wet
