I think Mark's being doing the engine mapping work for the forthcoming EVO FQ440. I gather it will appear on a street near you soon

FQ400 Should be out soon, 48k price tag for mega spec - was tempted to buy one myself but can't justify selling my Mak after all the money I've spent on it! Looks a monster, 175mph, 0-60 in 3.something, 0-100 in about 6-7!

FQ400 was what I meant
I assume that the FQ prefix denotes fcuking quick?

Yes, they're nice torque lumps to start with i think, and my mate owns one and he doesn't drive like a granny neither, very rarely let's him down, I think the biggest problem he's had with it was a bit jumpy when his kid brother decided to attack the engine with a hosepipe

as for Let vs Type-R, if i had a twin that was exactly the same as me in driving skills, c20let would waste it
however everytime i've gone up against one it's obviously been someone different to me (hard to believe i know) so no one will ever really have a definate answer.

i raced a ctr when i had my r5gt which was modified. the ctr had full stainless and filter, it was a on a road which is quite straight with a few twists but the 5 was just too quick and light and easily went past. that was running around 192bhp though never the less would love a ctr

on the way to the pod, went past a couple of type r's, let them catch up, then as the front one was coming up to pass me, i put my foot down, and just left him in my rear view, that was when i wa only running 4 or 5 psi too. Half pint, fad and jr were all there. That was a car full of shit and fat tony in the passenger seat aswell!! CTR was driver only. To sum up, straight line race/motorway, LET corsa, anyday.

CPL on the Isle of Sheppey have got the fastest straight line CTR in the country, runs 12's i think. And Guy told me the other day theyhave a new lump on the bench getting ready for next year, with a turbo conversion going on. Which will apparently be even quicker!

LETs are sweet no doubt but personally I would rather have a well rounded car to begin with and tune it...

^^ My old one Mark I had so many plans for it... mostly involving Owen Developments

how far behind is a standard xe corsa behind a ctr as ive heard lot ppl say there pretty close too 100mph in a straight line

standing quater for xe corsa vary's but usually very low 15 secs

according to my research quater of ctr is 15.1 which puts a xe corsa right with it upto 100mph

lets face it who goes much quicker than 100 anyways

but i could be wrong ppl
