these insurance companies are jokers!
last year my policy was 750£ and i was a named driver under my mum's name.
Today i phoned up to renew the policy where i become the policy holder and only driver.

Obviously i ended up with some poor soul working for peanuts in india.

I cheekingly asked for her to transfer my moms 5years NCB points to my policy (I've only been driving for 4 years). After telling her i've been driving the car more than my mum, she gave 4years NCB points!!!

Me being a young male, high risk motorist, i was expecting a quote more than £750, but was pleasently suprised when she told me it was 706£.

I told her to debit it straight from my account, but she needed to speak to my mom first, so will have to wait till tmrw.

I couldn't believe she gave me 4years NCB's!!

Try Premier Insurance. I've got a SRI with full combat2 kit, GTI R bonnet vent, boot spoiler, 15" fox wheels, 2.0 cav front brakes, ice install and 3 points for speeding for 1300. And it's my 1st insurance. I'm only 18. That's not too bad. Admiral quoted me 2500!

Many of the companies above are in this list, but there's quite a few extra ones here, plus a few that are missing. Just in case it helps. Oh and the number for HIC is the BT number, not an 0845/70 number - handy, especially if like me you hate paying extra for the priviledge

Maybe someone whith some time on their hands could integrate the two lists to produce a super-list?
