Well apparently mine is in full working order and can be 'put straight in' . I wanna be safe though. Apparently there is a bit of an oil leak at the sump. I'm guessing that will be the oil sump gasket. I would need to change the oil and filter, replace the plugs, dizzy and wires for the plugs. I guess I would also need to change the cam belt... Anything else need to be done before I put it in?

Easiest way: You just swap the dash for one from an older Corsa (SRi/GSi and a few others as you'll want the rev counter)...

Hard way... use an electronic digi-dash transducer on the gearbox, and a bit of electronics to convert the pulse system...

new f20 gearbox as the old on disintegrated 12miles after the conversion. speedo cable snappedin the first week, routed the new one better.
checked it today and found all of the sump bolts needed tightening as it was weeping oil and the rocker cover was leaking oil aswell the some of them were loose. all the bolts top and bottom had been torqued down to vaux spec, lets just say they are garth tight now bugger the torque settings .
