i was reading about this about 2 mins ago on seatenthusiasts.co.uk

cos im looking at getting a tdi ibiza, you can get silly power from the vag tdis, there is as much tuning kit for them as there is for the 1.6 16v and 2l 16v vauxhall engines.

Yes - I have been thinkng about one of these. Low insurance, good fuel economy and cute looks. Only prob is that you can't pick em up that cheap

Rechipping - including rolling road time, mapping, fitting, 'before/after' plots of power and torque, test drive. £350

you can get bigger injectors for the 90 bhp 1.9 which raises power too 110 bhp, then chip it and your looking at 130-140 bhp. then you can use the 150 tdi intercooler, turbo etc... you can get well over 200 bhp from the 1.9 tdi, any model 1.9 tdi infact without even trying.

yeah..i used to own an 100bhp Lupo Sport (same as this arosa). it was quick (evo mag tested the 0-60 at 8.8)..but it hated the induction kit as it sits on the inlet manifold and sucks in hot air.
mate has a mk3 gti 8v, and it absolutely pissed all over him every race. so much so that he now has a vr6!! The lupo also did 40mpg even driven hard, and insurance grp 5/6.

my advice 4 anyone considering it is go 4 it. but have a look at the boot first.....
