I wanna get a new engine 4 my corsa 1.2. How much about am I lookin 4 a 1.4 sri or 1.4 16v dya rekon?? Cheers

do you mean brand new? if you do then its more like a grand...

but 400 ish will buy a nice low mileage example of a 1.6/1.4

Dont need a new 1. Wot dya reckomend I go for size wise. I want a bit quicker than my 1.2 8v but not too high on my insurance

1.4 is a good lump can be tuned. 1.6 is the better of the two tho

id say get a 1.6 16v as getting a 1.4 would be a waste of money. The 1.6 will be good for a bit of tuning in the future

My insurance will be a bomb though. Im thinkin a 1.4 16v but not certain yet. Will the ecu be more? wot else will I need?

it should come with ecu and gearbox and loom for that price

Awesome. Do garages charge loads to fit it all? I know a lad who could do it all but dont know if I can trust his work if you know wot I mean!!

Well the problem being you will pay more on insurance for an engine conversion than you will for a car with the engine you want in it already.

Plus you will struggle just to find an insurance company that will cover engine conversions, I dont know of any under 19.

I thought when getting insurance you just tell them make model age an engine size and away you go basicly

in 'normal' cars yes, but coz its been modified, insurance companies take a dim view of this, thats why they've put the age up.

i wud get a 1.4 as its in the cheaper tax bracket..save a bit of wod lol
