update:
all finished.
waiting on accel cable and transponder to arrive
and i gota connect the baterey
been told bits will arrive tomorow *fingers crossed*

and im on the road

right bits are now shedualed for tomorow again
the batterey is fitted in it new place
ive checked the ftment of the seat and its fine
old accel cable has been disconnected
tomorow:-
i should get
transponder, accel cable, and batterey + lead. then shell be drivable.

once ive fitted new balljoints and track rod ends shell be back on the road

and im in work tomorow and i bet all the parts will arrive while im in work

along with a repaird fan and new accel cable



batterey is in and done

Cheers mate.

To change your fuel pump, do you take the tank out or do you get to it through the hole where the back seat used to be?

throu where the back seat used to be
theres a rubber cover u remove the a seal clip and it unclips and lifts out

But if you did'nt have that rubber cover could you drop the tank out and do it that way?

Adam, my car does'nt have a hole for the fuel tank because it was a carb engine.

coz when i was talking to a guy who does rallying in the new brighton rally
when the batterey is in the engine bay its around 14kgs over one wheel and is high up
thus creating understeer in some circumstances

so moving it the the spare wheel well its low down and centred in the car so itll handle slightly better.

oh and my fav reson i can work on the engine all over it without aving to move anything now everything is accesible easy reach
also if you look my header tank is different and is on the lower inner wing

holts tyre weld is in glove box

if i go long journeys say to donny etc i have a spare alloy with tyre
and if all else fails mr rac comes and helps me out

im saving up for a lightweight race batterey cos i think the heavy vaux one under hard cornering it may aid the back end in swinging out
need to get it on rollers and on a track

adam, what did you do to get battry in the boot,

lengthan wired and put them trough bulkhead

if your handy with spanners it isnt too hard
spend some time familiriseing yourself with all the bits on new and old engine
and you should have too many problems

no having that in the boot is good, mine has nothing in it, and the back end is far to light, is all over the place when cornering, daimo also noticed this when following me

unbolted batterey tray and bolted it to the boot floor
and i bought some batterey cable enuf for bout 3 cars
i er bought a reel of the stuff

run a wire into engine bay and cut off old clamp and joined it all up
