RARRRRRRRRR it runnning
and moves under it own power
got key thing and found out the donor car dont have a transponder :S
so after arsing about i changed the wiring loom for the spare on i had and ecu "cheers matt" and turned the key
woooooooooooooooooooooooo it started
now couple of questions
it cut out a couple of times by itself.
could this be because i have a 50amp 8v alternator on it? i have the 70amp 16v one so ill fit that and see.
and it sounds tappety :S so could this be because its been standing for ages?
will changing the oil cure it? i have vaux oil here so it should i hope

alternater wont stop it cutting out
charge battery up and take alternator off compleately and it wont cut out 
did u hear the engine running before ya bought it? was it running fine then?

Alot of XE engine's sound taperty... not sure about 1.6 , but X12XE and X14XE's have a loud taping noise - well at least till warmed up?

tapping should go after a few secs on a car used every day. When i did my head gasket the engine wasnt turned over for 2 weeks, tapped its ass off for 10 mins afterwards
