Depends what it is and who you're selling to. Anywhere between 20 quid and 100.

Hard to get rid of because of the size and weight. I have a 17" sitting around looking for a home. I upgraded to a 14" TFT.

crt (cathode ray tube) are the big normal monitors, and TFT are the flat screen ones

icy- if you are talking about TFT's personally I would go get a 17" unless you have the money to spunk on 19", infact if you hold up a 17" TFT to a 19" CRT, they have the same viewing space!

i thought there was about 1" difference between CRT and TFT. The 18" TFT was 430 i think from ebuyer. The monitor is an acer one, i got the handbook at my dads, i will check the model number and see if its any good, but I know its got more than just VGA connections on it though. I am looking for offers around 80, but open to offers, and as i said, i can take it to tne national meet if its any help!

On majority of CRT screens, there is about a 1" difference between the size stated on the box and the actual viewing size, although alot of the newer ones a fairly close to the box size But with TFT screens, the size it says is the size you are going to look at....but a decent TFT will set you back about 400-700 quid still Plus, TFT's dont change screen size, so there pretty crap if you play games with a smaller resolution than your desktop - although the 15-17"s are pretty good @ 1024x768.
Although whats the response times like on TFT these days? i remember when they came out, they were like 40ms or so and people complained of ghosting Are they lower now? or does the ghosting still occur?

Drunkenfool - tar boss, if you could get the model number so i can look it up, it will be much appriciated Want to get something that has a similar picture to my current monitor

seeing my dad tomorrow so i will ask him to bring the manual over. I know the response time is lower now, but still not as good as CRTs for playing games with the current technology.
