I had a ticket courtesy of Strathclyde police 3 years ago for the very same thing. Approaching massive junction and light changed. Though it was safer to go through on late amber than to try and stop after the line (especially as the car I was in, a scratty old Escort, kept stalling each time the revs dropped. Two weeks later, got a ticket. Wrote and explained it all the the Chief Constable. His secretary wrote back and very politely told me to fcuk off and pay the fine or go to court
