Liverpool & Victoria !

They are sound as a pound, and don't charge you a penny for ANY sort of mod to the car either

liverpool victoria is best bet, i think they still take 18yr olds. I know adrian flux is 19 min age, im gonna ring around again when im up for renewal. But yeah, sub 2k is definately posible. Although that was a good area, in a locked garage at night.

there are a couple of HUGE houses close to where i live, i checked my postcode on upyourstreet.com or whatever it is, and it seems to think we lived in a stately home or something! Not complaining if i got cheaper insurance though. Moved out last month though, and only just realised i havent told insurers!

Ah yes good point.....as long as you leave the engine alone....then you won't be charged for any other mod

However you can change the zorst....and won't be charged.

Great guys there too

The joys of free insurance.

My first car ay 18 had free insurance. My 2nd car had free insurance. I was 19, nearly 20 when i first had to pay for my first policy, with two years NCD under my belt!

My newest car was my 1st car

Actually, I think it depends who you speak to......I wasn't charged for Morettes (or any other light-conversions), but was charged for exhaust (but not for the BFO cone-filter). It was only an extra £14 for the year, for the exhaust, but it's still an increase!

Oh, and from what one of the lads where I used to work said, they now WILL NOT cover engine-transplants if the engine you're putting in is not from an existing model of that car (ie. you could remove a 1.0 12v and put a 1.6 16v in, but you can't remove a 1.6 16v and put a C20LET in). That might have been specific to my mate, because of his age (20), but he said the guy on the other end of the phone made out that it was a new general policy now.
