Nice pics but not keen on the green corsa with the blue mirrors, really like the white 5 door, red and silver corsas and also the T5 volvo estate, think there is a Yellow T5 in the back ground in one of the pics as well.

Kris:

Proper fuel pump
Air Filter repositioned (not sure what filter)
0.8 bar ( i think) and upped fuel
standard exhaust

neither have intercoolers

I have the non turbo fuel pump which delivers a constant flow whereas Kris's fuel pump is a proper TD one which has a diafram that increases the amount of fuel that is deliverd depending on turbo boost.

therefore as the boost increases on mine the amount of fuel going in doesn't increase so i think it starts to run lean at about 3000 rpm but kris's starts adding more fuel then. [/quote}

yeah that about right, mine makes about 16 psi on the road but only got 13 psi in 4th on the rollers.

i got told that the reason my torque is so shite down the bottom end is the fact that i have a standard bore exhust which is strangleing it lower down.

im gonna try some 1.7 injectors in it tommorow to see if that helps.

but from what i heard he said whatever valve that runs in the manifold was'nt opening

thats a good thing though, thats the overboost valve which opens when the boost reaches a certain limit, adam was unsure if it would loose him power but it didnt in the end so all is gravy

all the corsas seemed to loose around 20 bhp through the transmission. there was no exact figures, im only going on that from what i saw on his display and what i saw on the computer at the end of each run. some of the volvos lost shit loads, lik 40-50 bhp through the transmission.

I'm pretty sure that 4th gear is a 1:1 ratio and most cars loose 16 - 22% on a FWD gearbox

interrcooler would give really good gains especially as your hitting 1 bar of boost.

I was chatting to the parts matey i use yesterday, for the intercooler I was thinking of making the rad 1/2 as tall but twice as deep and having the intercooler attached to the top and the same size, not sure how else to fit one in the front of a corsa

Maybe not the most efficient, as i well know, but a top mounted intercooler with a scooby vent? Be alot better than not having one at all?

How do u go bout calculating the size of what intercooler u need etc?
