There is nothing wrong with my gearbox

I see where you are coming from now Dave, I think we need to see the other people's wheels fig's

I have driven 7 106GTi's in the last 8 months, with the exception of steve's mine is the quickest from what I can recall from driving others

Maybe the engine was warmed up but the oil in the box was still cold..... that would explain the 39% loses.

I'm passing and pulling away from 206 Gti's now but sadly not quite keeping up with teg type R's

A set of 285deg cams/vernier pulleys/manifold/dastek will see Sooty keeping up with teg type R's i think.

Funny you should say that.... I can also pull away from the 206gti's, I did so tonight after dropping Drew off home nothing amazingly ravish, just slowing passing them within a couple of seconds.

I have big plans for it... Manifold next week (Janspeed) dastek in the new year and some cams somewhere before hand with the pulley's and poss head work (again before chip so can be maped)

Seriously adictive car to drive, can see why you chose one

Go for a GMC manifold Sooty
Piper 285 cams seem a touch better than kent on the Gti my RR operator tells me...
