129 bhp + 25% = 161.3bhp

Its the wheels figure thats important Kerry, a "fly" figure is only theoretical on a RR as i said.

You'd need to put an engine on a dyno for a proper "fly" figure.

I'm not disputing what your graph says or your @wheels figure Sooty, just your flywheel figure.
A 106 gti normally makes about 105bhp @ wheels with a filter/manifold/decat exhaust, you stillhave a cast manifold so what you have is spot on @ wheels for your mods.

I also suspect this, tbh I was not too much concerned with the wheels fig... surely from what the other cars ran today, I believe this could be mis-calculated, I cant really fault any of the other cars fly fig's

kerry, do you go on any vectra/vauxhall sites?
If so ask around to see what other 2.5 owners get @ wheels with similar mods to you.

good point, just what I was about to say... given the fly figures for all the cars and the wheel figures for all the cars, its more correct to say that the fly figures seem to be the ones at fault here

Its the wheel one thats the true reading - comes off the rollers, the fly is only calculated onto the graph.

Wheel + torque if the ones that matter

in that case everyone would of been running less than standard power with modifications on top

this is too much for a saturday night

The @ wheels figure sounds ok with Sooty's car so i guess its ok with everyone Kerry, just check with other 2.5 owners and compare notes on @wheels figs and RR's.

All RR read differently but its the wheels fig thats important on a RR.

Ok, my car has 170BHP as standard
135BHP at the wheels
The 135 is the useble power, therefore the one that is important.
For the true fly reading the engine would have to be conected somehow to the RR - thus it is done in a rough calculation

Its the loss in transfering the power from the engine thru transmition to the wheels

Thats the loses figure 39%, did he let the car slow right down in 4th or 5th gear after a power run?

Or maybe its a figure already inputted by him for trans losses...

Right down to idle almost?

Well if so that should be your losses, 39% your box must be fcuked if you've that much losses.

Some folk reckon only 10% for a 106 box!(not me)
