recently when i turn on my heater in my corsa C and bad smell comes thru the vents then dies off after givin them a good blast!

has any1 else had this prob? just dunno what it could be!

dosnt allways do it! and when it does it doesnt lat long so it cant be a dead animal or it wud stinck all the time!

u got air conditioning? air con leaves a musty smell. or if u got a polen filter change it, u can get a build up of crap in there.

it could be bacteria or fungi growing in the vents themselves if there is sufficient moisture in there. this is a common problem with cars with air con, but can't see why it would happen here unless something got into the vent ducting

This happened in my last Sxi, it had air con, smelt like an arsehole when i switched it on

yes..i have aircon and it smelt soo crap ic cudnt stand it...so i left it off..its gone now tho

Yes, this happened with the aircon in our old vectra.
But you prob won,t have aircon in yours so I don't know.

got smelly sock smell with my Aircon in my corsa back in the summer, it was normally after using it for a bit then turned it off cause it warped the power.... took it to vaux (god i'm a fussy cunt) and all they could do was pour some coolant stuff down it cause the water in the aircon or whatever the liquid is can go gay.

The best thing to do when you have aircon is to switch it off five minutes before turning the engine off, and also blast a bit of heat through it other wise the damp will stay there and create this musty smell.

[EVEN IF YOU DONT HAVE AIRCON]

Danny look insed your engine bay and find two black square boxes, on the bulkhead, about half way down, oposite each other These have flaps on the front of them. Open the flaps and see if there is any crap inside them, like leaves or dirty muck.

Just pull the shit out, cause stuff can get trapped in there
