Yes most of them are fools.

We recently got our ZAF GSi back after being stolen recoverd. It needed a new tyre (size 225/45/R17).
I checked the tyre at home and it was a 255/40/R17
Not one size out, but 3cm's wider than it should have been!!!

West End Vauxhall Maida Vale

West End Vauxhall - Staples Corner

West End vauxhall - Edgware

100% useless. None of them have a clue. I have to show them what parts i want on the comp. I have to go round the counter and use the damn thing. Oh and they charge more than any other vaux dealer, for the same parts!

Although South Harrow Vauxhall usually.

all these posts are funny but a bit harsh on parts depatments

all these guys that work in there have just been chucked in there with no training and expected to get on with the job, on a system like EPC and ETKA (vw/audi/seat/skoda) and PET(porsche) it takes years to learn what companys call there parts and where there shown

when i started at VW it was theres the PC, go learn, now IMO im the best one there and dont even work in parts anymore(were have a really shit department though:lol

As far as I know, out of 4 blokes that work in the parts department at Hartwell Vauxhall in Kidlington, 2 are helpful about 90% of the time, 1 is a new kid that doesn't know anything (but is helpful), and the 4th is some guy in his 50s that's an absolute knob jockey - sarcastic, unhelpful, and has sold me the wrong parts on two occasions even though I had the part number of what I wanted for one of the parts!

If General Motors' British part of the company (ie Vauxhall/Opel) ever went down the pan, it wouldn't surprise me with incompetant fools like them working there!

dont get me started about main dealers i left the car in there a few months ago cos i couldnt figure out a problem... and they told me

"that engine is to big/fast for that car" "theres no give in it its all power" yeh a c16xe is to big for a corsa? all i kept thinking about was beardys v6

"them wheels are to bigg for that car" there only 16's

"the suspension is not the correct type we need to fit Vauxhaul parts to go any further" i think fk coilovers are superior to anything that vauxhaul would produce...

and then they proceeded to charge me a hours labour for doing nothing other than drive up and down the road

You should have asked if they could remove that monstrously powerful C16XE and fit a X10XE!
