firstly, how cool does motorstorm look i havnt heard any reviews on it but the idea behind it seems pretty cool and its one of the very few ps3 exclusives i would like to come to the 360.
anyway these 2 games have been so hyped up over the past year. from what i understand both games have been in the making for around 2 years now and as there exclusives there will be pressure from sony t make sure they look, sound and play fanstastic.
after all the hype ive heard on the ps3 boards about these games and how 360 gamers will be jealous once we see the screens i can honestly say that on a console that sony 'claim' to be 2.5 times more powerful than a 360 that i think these screens look pretty disappointing.
i considered a ps3 in the future but im honestly not so sure now, think it might have to be a wii...

They'll both end up on 360 soon enough.
Resident Evil, Playstation exclusive - goes to Gamecube and Wii
Metal gear solid - comes to xbox
Ridge Racer - comes to 360
 No reason at all to worry about PS3.

on par with gow? u really think so guys?
i think the characters of DMC4 look like ps2 graphics and reasonably good looking levels. motorstorm looks about as good as saints row in graphics terms. ive been looking at metal gear solid aswell and that isnt as good as gow graphics either.
if anyone wants to see the dmc4 developers(capcom) game on the 360 check out lost planet

Its funny watching people who own a 360 slag off the PS3. I bet you havent even see one not to mention the everyone is comparing PS3 release titles to games that were developed long after the 360 was released.
Personally, Im waiting to have a good play on them both before I decide to make a decision.

you've seen graphics like that on PS2?
get real, thats 10x smoother than ANY thing on the PS2

if you read my old post i played one the PS3 whilst i was in AMerica, it offers nothing new compared to the (now 14month old 360)
its also vastly overpriced and games cost £50

I would have to disagree with you on one thing there Dave, the PS3 does offer Blu-Ray capabilities after all.

not the whole game, but the characters on dmc4 and mainly the enemies but even the main guy doesnt look that good

yeah thats why i picked 2 ps3 exclusives that have both been worked on for about 2 years, its these kinda games that sony hopes to be huge hits and increase ps3 sales.
these arent launch titles either, ps3 came out in december or november and these 2 games are coming out in march/april time

real time shadows require more processing power. It would have been the developers choice to use non-dynamic (blob style) shadows in game. Perhaps to maintain decent frame rates etc..

this is true but surely on a next gen console with the power its supposedly got why are they having to sacrifice decent graphics for frame rate? surely it should pull of awesome graphics with awesome frame rate, same as gears of war

yeah it makes you wonder when sony claim the ps3 is 2.5 times more powerful than the 360 yet i havnt seen a game that actually shows this, and im ignoring all the launch titles. metal gear solid looks good, maybe the best graphics on the ps3 ive seen but its not better than gears like i thought it might be, its not even clearly on par
