Driving home from work, sitting in traffic, hear a huge thump, car jumps forward, look in rear view and their is a fook off 4x4 sitting on my bumper

Got out, had a look at car and told the woman to pull over. Took all her details, she really didnt seem bothered took registration etc.

My rear numberplate light popped out along with the casing at the scene.

Took a closer look aswel, the recess for the rear light on the bumper has smashed also, and the crash panel inside is bent. Boot doesnt close too well either, have to wrench it open and slam it shut.

Neck is pretty sore aswel, when i look to the left i get sharp pains, and a clicking sound, going to go to minor injuries a bit later.

Pics soon

Why are people so completely stupid? How can you possibly hit a stationary car?

No you don't need to inform police....ring insurance tell them what happened and pass over other drivers details.

They will send you out forms to fill in, you will have to write down what happened, damage to car and injuries, etc.

6 months later you will get around £1700-£2000 compensation

Even though you're not at fault at all they can still be arsey sometimes.
Phone the woman and ask her how she wants to go about it.
Phone her insurance.

Don't be daft, you pay your insurance for shit like this. Let your insurance sort everything for you.........had 2 crashes myself and the missus has had two and insurance have never got 'arsey'.

Your insurance will contact her insurance, who will then contact her. What I did with my crashes though is not sent the car in for repair until the other drivers insurance admitted their party was at fault.....that way you don't have to pay your excess and don't lose your no claims
