Mates just bought Kei RSS alloys in 17" look really nice 5 spokes with the chrome lip...

They are 7x17" and he was told they will fit the Corsa B even with his 50mm drop... (by skidz) So i'm guessing they will be the right offset not 100% sure..

Now We've hit a huge stumbling block.. the tyres are rubbing right were the arch bend into the quarter (just at the top of where the moulding should sit)

How much room is there to play with between the inner arch and the actual quarter? will wellying it with the hammer cure it ??

By the way wheels are going on a 5 door... Ali_kerr_86's

will Et45 Offset 17"s fit straight on without any Major archwork? and will the fact it's a 5door Make any difference I'm really strting to think these Wheels are the wrong offset cos more and more people have said they have a 60mm drop on 17"s and it's fine no archwork done at all

take off the plastic arches , get a jigsaw and cut 2-3mm below the holes, this way you will cut out all the lip and they will not scrub , i did this on fronts and rears

5 door corsa's rear arches are smaller than 3 door's iirc, also depends on the width of the wheels/tyres!!

Aye looks lower than Mine did would have been interesting to put it against mine dunno if it's just his Jamex suspension or what!

Did you see the state of the Rear arches?? I had to literally bang them out so far so they didnt rub with TWO in the car!!

I never had this hassle with my Momo's

if its toching the rear 14s then the wheels must be the wrong offset , i have et 205/40/17 with offset of 45 and mine dont catch at all ,although its quite tight.

they must be wrong offset

I'm going to do that but i want to See what Skidz say the Offset is so if they say it's ET45 and it says ET 40 on the Wheel they will be getting them Back and told to replace them! If they Tell me they should be ET45 then ET 45 is what i want cos these wheels are gonna end up damaged or fucking Ali's car And I'm not being responsible seeings as i fitted them..

I have this gut feeling that Skidz have cocked up Yet again.. this will be 3 times they've Stuffed my mates about with wheels

on my 3 door my 17's touch the quarters inside, a lot depends on tyre choice...

just take a grinder to it, or bash it out a bit or lastly get a bodyshop to sort it.

GRRRRRR if you werent so soft and said Danny and Buzz could go up the town and if danny hadnt bunged up the f**king tunes there wouldn't have been anydamage to the tyres

and the arches look worse now cos i took my temper out on them and wellied them so you could get home i knew it was a bad idea fitting those damn wheels

i was under the impression that ET45-49 was the correct offset for a Corsa Mav so you may well be right that they are the wrong offset...

We'll give it another bash (no pun intended) on saturday if i Can Cure the Rubbing 100% Ali can keep his 50mm springs and the Wheels... if i cant cure the rubbing we're fucked for crail

SO Skidz have royally fucked up again?? If it was me selling the wheels i would have checked and if the book said ET45-49 for a corsa i would not have sold them without Explaining to the Customer that there may be rubbing due to it being a slight lower offset

you can cut a fair bit more metal off, and bash it with mallet but it prob wont cure it completely, those tyres are seriously rubbing!!

Ive been there tho m8, people convoying with me last year will remember me attacking my front archs with a screwdriver i believe it was in complete frustration lol.

Think it was on way to pvs?
