I know this thread will do one of two things to everyone reading it. Thats why I am wording things as carefully as possible...

1. You will agree with me that something needs done.
2. You wont understand as everytime you have delt with I.A. it has been first class...

The help that I am requiring from people on CorsaSport is as follows, and from this you can make up your own mind whether it is worth while, or whether I am wasting my own and everyone else's time in posting:

I have been advised by Trading Standards to pursue the matter further with regards to an order I placed with Illusion Autostyle and the on going debate with them regarding parts of the order and outstanding monies.

Basically what I was hoping to achieve from this thread was to gather up as many people as I can who have had similar problems with Illusion Autostyle in order to forward this to the Trading Standards, or to bring to light the idea of each and everyone of you doing the same to your local Tradinding Standards.

I know alot of people will disagree with what I have set in motion, and if this is the case I don't mind them posting here with their opinions.

I would mind however, people using this thread to start a slanging match, as I don't see how that will resolve anything.

Feel free to either add to this thread or U2U me with any information/ details about I.A. that you have unresolved. (Within a reasonable time scale - anything over 2 or 3 weeks would be sufficient)

Thanks

Hammy

- We are still bound by all the legalities that exist elsewhere on the site
- This is still a public forum - don't post images that are offensive or pornographic
- We still host this content and are as such bound by the conditions of our hosting provider.
- This is not a flame forum. Arguments will still attract administrative attention
- Personal abuse will not be tolerated. Any examples of this should be brought to the attention of site staff.

I don't think I am violating anything that has been listed above. If either Ian or Tim feel that I have in some way posted irresponsably or in anyway that they feel is inappropriate I hope that they would make me aware of this before any decision to remove the thread.

All I am looking to achieve for myself, and many people who have been treated the same, is an end to it and a speedy solution to rectify outstanding orders with Illusion Autostyle.

Every person in CorsaSport has consumer rights, no matter where they purchase goods from. From reading on previous threads, there are alot of people out there who maybe don't realise that they do have rights.

With respect to your post ^ I can understand your views on the Illusion, and as for PVD, I nearly lost £850 off them and when I tried to get a refund they REFUSED it and this was at the start of July - 18 days before they closed. You think thats acceptable?

I placed my order with Illusion on the 30th June, its now the 6th August, out of an order costing £1253.81 I am yet to receive £350 worth, £175 of that being money they OVERCHARGED me and wont put back into my account. I have phoned them EVERYDAY from the money was taken from my account on the 3rd July to get this rectified along with other problems with the order, and not ONCE did they mention that things are out of stock or that it would take more time for parts of the order to be delivered.

Instead what I got from them was:
"The courier collected it yesterday and it should have been with you today"
and:
"The courier has paperwork to collect the wrong items and they should be with you today"

They were however caught out as I got the courier to phone them regarding the items they were meant to collect from me and replace and Scott told them NOT to and that he would arrange it. When I questioned I.A. about this they denied even talking to the courier.

I wouldn't have minded waiting for the items to come into stock, I wouldn't have minded as long as I was told the truth instead of being palmed off with the same excuses everytime I phoned. After a while it gets frustrating...

I've had the same problems as described above and it does get VERY frustrating when you know that they are lying to you I even had a message left on my mobile telling me that they had sent the item out. like f**k it had

I think if we were to get enough people to complain or 'point out their misunderstandings' as people would like to put, then they would take a step back and realise that they WILL end up going down the same road as PVD if they don't do something about it.

And if this does happen its THEIR OWN fault for not being a company people can reliably buy from. I don't see how anyone can justify a complaint being the reason they could go under.

Good Luck anyway with your venture, but I feel you may be wasting your time.

We usually remove first and ask questions later but yeah, I'm happy for the thread to serve its purpose.

iv used them 4 times - 3 of which all goods arrived within 4 days of ordering - i was fairly happy

however it took them 4 weeks to send me a lambo kit. - during those 4 weeks after many phone calls i was told it was dispatched on 6 different dates - its so frustrating to be told its dispatched then u phone up a week later and they tell u it was dispatched on another day!

the worst feeling is knowing they've l;ied to u and wont give u a refund.

Im gonna sit this one out,

I understand both sides of the argument - but from my view i wont be using them again!

This wasn't a post to get people on my side over I.A.'s - this was merely to see if I could get other members off the CS forum who have been treated the same as myself in order to bring this to Scott's attention.

I have no personal issue with Scott, I don't know the guy other than from the e-mails we have exchanged BEFORE placing an order with I.A. In fact I thought he was extremely sincere.

I agree with you Netrix about every company having their sh*t points. My issue is that of a consumer and the rights they have and the process of rectifying an ongoing order discrepancy with a company. This could have been anything, I don't want people to think I have set my sights on destroying I.A. the reality would be far from that.

But please, before anyone else wishes to jump to the defence of I.A. take the following into consideration:

I have given I.A. more than enough time to sort out any misunderstanding with my order, I have been on the fone to them daily for over a month now. They still haven't returned money that should never have been taken from my account.

At the start of July, the first parts of the order I received were wrong, (manual wing mirrors when electric were ordered and smashed blue neons when green were ordered)

Taking into consideration I was still waiting on a full PSG Combat Wide bodykit for Corsa C (including mesh and a fitting kit), an exhaust, lowering springs and a replacement bonnet to arrive, I.A. told me that when the courier came next they would be collecting the wing mirrors and neons.

I had 4 more deliveries from the courier, spaced across July, and each time they told me that they couldn't lift the two items as they had no paper work from I.A. to do so...

The last delivery from the courier was one sheet of mesh (30x90) And before this delivery arrived I phoned I.A. and they reassured me, as they had on the previous 3 deliveries that the wing mirrors and neons would be lifted. I then foned the courier who told me that I.A. had never been in touch.

I asked them to fone Scott at I.A. and they did, when they foned me back they said that Scott told them NOT to lift the items as he would arrange for it to be lifted.

Before the courier arrived I foned I.A. asking to speak to Scott and was told he "Wasn't in the office" (another favourite was "He's busy with another customer, but will fone you back") The member of staff I did talk to (Graham I think) told me that the courier WOULD lift the two items... Needless to say, they never.

I tried phoning I.A. again, said that I wanted a refund on the two items and also inquired about the £175 that they owe me and they told me that it was ok to get a refund and the £175 was returned to my account... Which to date still hasn't been.

Once again theres another person on abotu the shit service or gettin rippe doff by them.

Do people never learn?

i mean...theres absolutely fucking loads of posts regarding this company and their trading and yet time and time again, ppl still order from them!

The info an d back ground on the company are all over corsapsort and u have no doubt heard rumours or stories bout them and yet u go ahead and order.

Sorry to say, but it is ur own fault.

As u can see from the other guys post, scott is living it up having a good time not giving a flying fuck about what he has done to the customers.

just remember this post when in a few months time we get a post along the lines of the pvd post regarding them no longer trading.

The only problem with that is I ordered with I.A. (and PVD - though got my money back from them) BEFORE I stumbled across this forum...

Obviously I wouldn't have ordered from them having read everything on these forums.

Couldnt be further from the truth, do you expect to order from a company and receive service like Hammy has? For each complaint there is probably 20 happy customers, who will rave about the service.

Thinking about it, isn't it theft taking an extra £170 from an account when you have only authorised them to take £xx.xx amount? Threaten them with going to the police

I have a bank statement with the amount they took out, and I have an e-mail, and a postal invoice from Scott with the correct price on it.

If I hear nothing from I.A. withing the next fortnight, then I have been advised to take court action which would shed light on both the matters concerning the wrong items AND the money I was overcharged.

I don't think bringing the police into the fray would do anything other than waste their time as the preliminary "Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended)" letters have already been sent and everything has been logged with Trading Standards.

Although I had thought about it previous to now.

Its a good idea, if enough of you pitch together and go to trading standards or the CAB then they will represent you.

Surely you wanna do everything possible to get your money back?
