Maybe you should have explained to people that the Donny South show will be full of cars with a tonne of plastic tat bodywork, alloy wheels so big the car has to be trailered everywhere and paint that has had a bowl of rice or similar poured into it to make it cool.

I wanted to go, it was good last year. As for it bein full of shit cars an knobs, think thats a bit hypocritical when we all drive modified corsa's (most of us as its a corsasport forum!!). If people stopped gettin snobby about this whole thing we might be able to organise some succesful meets! I'm still goin donny south and campin over even tho we don't have a stand, if anyone else is let me know and we can organise a pre-show piss up or something.

Admittedly the 'scene' as a whole appears to have gone down in quality but I still think its a sad day when we can't get a few cars together to make an appearance.

Some of the replies here which I've since removed sum up the attitude of certain members and I do feel its very damaging. If we do need to get back 'to our roots' then so be it. Maybe we need to look at what is going on and decide where we're going.

I'd like people not to forget this is a web site about Corsas, we do all have an interest in them and do want to do things together like shows and events.

If not then I'd question whether some people have outstayed their welcome.

One of the main problems is people move on, they get better cars. Obviously, being corsasport, other cars arent welcome on the stand. (fair enough) Corsasport is a victim of its own success, many of us move on to bigger and better cars, yet stay here due to having met some great people and this site is a good way to stay in touch. Eventually, the main people will go to different brands of cars so this situation will only get worse as a lot of new members dont bother coming back due to certain idiots on here
