I've got a few self flashing leds in red and blue. Useful for connecting to an alarm system, or simply connect them to any 12v supply to give the illusion of having an alarm.
Comes complete with 1 metre of cable and either mounted in a chrome holder or without, your choice. £1.50 each delivered.

would these draw much current ?

ie if you used it as a flashing led / fake alarm would your battery go dead .... after a few days of being left ?

They draw a massive 20ma, you could leave this running continously for months before it would affect the battery.

on my old car the led that flashed I got told it drew 1/4amp and hour from the battery, and twice wen we went on holiday for a week when we came back the battery was dead. Not sure if all LED's draw the same tho

nah they draw nothing like what a bulb will. Ive got loadsa on my footwells and they draw nothing like a single bulb would do

I once bench tested a led. I had it connected to a duff battery in my garage. It was left on continously for nine days with no effect to the led, and still plenty of juice in the duff battery.

As a rough guide, An alarm system (including flashing LED and ultrasonics) will usually draw less current that the digital/quartz clock in your car.

Can also do non flashing ones in almost any colour you want, handy for lighting those dark areas.

You can pay any way you like except for Paypal. It only needs connecting to a 12 volt supply to flash. It can be connected to an existing alarm or any switched supply.

wire the ground of the LED to the black/purple wire in the wiring harness taped on the support bar under the glovebox. When the ignition is off this becomes a ground. When the ignition is on its a live

do u know the diameter of the LED? and wud cash in an envolope be ok? got no other way of paying except cheque

Its a 5mm led and the holder needs an 8mm hole. I could possibly get some smaller diameter ones too.
Cash is fine, even 1st class stamps if its easier.
