In two minds whether to debadge :/, im kind of proud owning a 1.8 at 17 and not fronting :D

Oh, one more thing, i'm going to spray the plastic rub strips on the Astra this weekend. I've sprayed before but never this kind of plastic. Do people just sand the bumpers away or do you smooth them? Thanks,

I'm not too active on here, but do love reading the projects so i thought i'd post mine.

My names Danny, mostly reffered to as Vesta on forums, some of you will know me from CCUK and AON/AOC. I'm also on a few other forums such as ClubLupo, ukmkiv's etc (there should be one big car forum for us all :D ) I'm 17 and live in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. You might see me in Wakefield on a Sunday night :o

I had this corsa:

If your interested in seeing the progress i made with it this is my timeline video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWXfRrmM9Zw

Anyway i got bored of the corsa (as much as i miss it) And i went to buy a VAG Diesel

I came home from a Garage with an Astra 1.8 3door

These are the pics from when i picked it up:

For some reason i instantly plummeted into a kind of depression with the car, i was sure i had made a big mistake and thought about selling it :/ I don't know why i just felt like i had. Had a good chat with the rents and few friends and i have decided to keep the Astra atleast until i'm 18 and a few weeks after that i'll have my second years no claims bonus :)
Most of this was not researching the Mk4 before buying, i just bought it :/ So i ended up with an early model without cruise control etc but oh well! Its happened now.

Let the modding commence!

So far i've done :

Vectra Intake:

Piper Backbox with a Remus Cat-back (really happy with the sound it makes the car produce)

Irmscher Rear Lights

Irmscher Replica Front Grille

And a Bit of ICE:

Rockford Fosgate Ftw :) Alpine HU also..

So thats how she stands! Just looking at getting coilovers now, and some GSi headlights.

Going to look at some Second hand Janspeed ones tomorrow, priced at £120. Tempted to get some brand new budget ones from ebay though? We'll see.

Thanks for reading, any input will be gladly appreciated.
