My first thought would be the same as Gary. Possibly a jumper wire in the double one that's come loose over time. | |

Been working for the 4 years we've been here though. only started having this issue in the last few days and we've not touched the switches at all. | |

Actually just double checked and the single switch will only turn the light on if the double switch for the living room light is down (on, of course). | |

I have a single switch aswell as a double switch in my living room. |
